Hehehe... he took out of gun from his pocket... his shorts actually and then shot Brian McBride in the face! Then he also shot Donovan!

Actually cuz he wanted to block Brian McBride somehow and decided that if he elbowed him, it'd be better. So he hit him in the face with his cheesy Italian elbow and left sauce on McBride's face! Well actually he just elbowed McBride and made him bleed from the face so he got what he deserved.

cauz after zaccardo scored an own goal n the score was 1-1 the italians started 2 get fustrated n in particular de rossi so when he n brian mcknight from the USA were both goin for a header de rossi elbowed him in the nose n he had blood comin out of it n de rossi was send off n wasnt allowed 2 play until the world cup final which he ended up scoring a penalty in wit the pentaly shoot outs but he did admit 2 a newspaper that when he elbowed mcknight he was considering leaving the italian team cauz he was so disapointed wit his actions

yeah, elbowing, it was quite nasty, any football player knows its the oldest trick in the book... go up for a header and elbow the other player.
