The price doesn't bother me so much as the availability of the console. Trying to find one is, from what I hear, annoying. The system also lacks a solid title, something unheard of when launching a console. The overhyped blu-ray hasn't sold all that many movies. I give Sony a C.

Nintendo had a good launch with their usual amount of franchise titles. All of the games have gotten pretty good ratings in reviews. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was voted game of the year by many review companies. Coupled with innovation Nintendo has done phenomenal. B + for Nintendo.

Microsoft, surprisingly, has had the best launch and followup of any of the consoles. Availability was never much of an issue. The system is affordable relative to it's performance. Xbox Live Marketplace is arguably the best online service ever released in any form of entertainment. Add a solid flow of above-average titles and you have a really good console. A for Microsoft.

If you're comparing launches, you have to look at Xbox360 in 2005, when there were shortages all over the place (fewer units sold than the PS3 in the first month or so). I agree with your Sony assessment, would up the score for Nintendo to A-, mainly because relatively few launch titles were derivative--many were original, and played well. For Microsoft, I have to bump it down to a B+ because of the shortage and overheating and silly silly 2-version console issue.

i give nintendo an A- ,because they took a risk, and it made them millions of dollars, and put them back on the map with an affordable game system, the wii.(look for the new gameboy evolution(gameboy not ds)and the new gamecube next)sony i gave a b---- because they are so caught up in stuffing their big heads with caviar that they don't realize that the $600 price tag is enough for a kid to say, instead of saving my money for 2 years, i'll just go buy a gamboy advance sp. micro soft got a B- because of the fatal overheating problems with the 360. the inteo cooler is smaller than on the wii, and the console is over half the size. go figure. i would(and did)get a wii. now i'm trying to save for a gameboy micro, or gameboy evolution. i'm not sure which i'll get, but it will definatley depend on when the evolution comes out.

A to the ps3 because it has better graphics than the xbox 360 and the wii and is a better brand and has better quality. B- To the xbox 360 because it is from microsoft and doesn't have as good graphics as the ps3 and it overheats. c- to the wii because it has awful graphics and the only thing that you can do with it is play games and go online. Hope this helps.
