Hi Tara,

as you know, i just came to realize my same sex feelings fairly recently.

but overall, i never really associate pride with something i am. for me pride comes with a sense of accomplishment..

being born, being straight/gay/bi, having brown hair, having hazel eyes.. well, that's me.. it's not like i have accomplished anything.. not really worthy of pride..

guess i can take pride in the values and morals i have though.. i take pride in the fact that i have never had casual sex with anyone. i take pride in the fact that i want love before sex..

i also take pride in not judging people by their looks..

i take pride in the fact that i am very open and honest and very tolerant and accepting of other people and their views, regardless of whether i agree or not.

i guess the one thing i can be proud of in terms of sexuality is that i am proud that i have finally come to realize the truth about my feelings. the older i get, the more i seem to learn and understand about myself, so that is an accomplishment that i have good feelings about..

I still remember my 'epiphany' moment for realizing I was gay - when I was 13 - my first reaction to this realization was a huge grin! I was immensely proud of myself at the time, and have remained so as I have grown older. I love women. I love myself. I love homosexuality.

Been gay since I was 11:never ever regretted that and still don't.
I am a very happy person and have no issues.
Never wanted to be with a woman in a sexual way:ever.
It's just not for me.

I feel the same as you, actually PROUD of being gay and of knowing WHO I AM. It took me 28 years to love who I am and by god I wouldn't change it for the world now!

Over time, more proud. I've acepted who I am and the fact that I can't change a thing, so only option is to enjoy who I am

I have found comfort in my life with my fellow sisters. I am a member of Dykes on Bikes, play softball where we tap a keg of beer after the game, and I am politically active in feminist issues. I am comfortable with who I am overall.

well it's who I am..so I generally like myself and my life ...I'm proud that I have come to accept myself as I am --flaws and all..I've been married 20 years. It's a good life.

for know good cuz i like how i am and i intend to keep it like this... it's so damn great cuz most people here at LGBT think , or so i read, that ower love is greater and that we actually love who we love...it's not just a thing..it is LOVE... i respect gay/ lesbian people....cuz they have some' to say about it.... and they are brave for what they do... they are not like the others...

i am bi and am very comfortable with it not proud as such just happy with myself. because i feel it makes me more considerate of all peoples feelings and it means i am more open minded than most people.

Frankly and no offense. I think if I were like that I should consult a psychiatric.
