How do i add movement to a character in macromedia flash 8 pro?

Im a super noob in flash and i dont know how to make characters move can someone help me ? thank a lot ^_^

convert your character into movie clip by highlight it and press f8
then double click inside and add timeline at your layer.. then create motion tween by right click the timeline
