Can you name other movies similar to silence of the lambs and hannibal?

Seven was similar, to me, in how the killer manipulated the police. Also, the Usual Suspects, although it's not a serial thriller, per se, is pretty cool. While not as good, The Bone Collector and Along Came a Spider are also similar. :)

Actually no. I think they're very unique. Lots of other movies about serial killers. But none that actually comes close. The only thing that I can think of that comes close is a few chapters of the Sandman, and that's a comic book.

If you are looking for a film with the same kind of intelligence though, maybe you'd like movies such as V for Vendetta (but I think the Comic Book version is better than that as well.)

The Exorcist - Part III is very similar to Silence of the Lambs.

In it, a police officer has to interrogate a man who is imprisoned in a mental hospital and who may be possessed by both a demon and the soul of an executed murderer simultaneously in order to solve a string of bizarre murders.

It is an excellent and very underrated horror movie.

Well, Red Dragon, but that's part of the series of books that've been adapted to film. If you're looking for films outside of the books, then I'd say Frailty or one of those cheesy films based on serial killers (Gacy, Dahmer, etc. etc.). Frailty is really good, and follows a serial killer named God's Hand or something to that effect.

"Unspeakable" it has dennis hopper in it , also have you seen "Red Dragon?" is is the third installment of the hannibal series... well thenically the fourth because hannnibal first movie was called "Manhunter" which did not star Anthony
