in Nigeria. i guess its like Europe, USA and china. they don't have to be related. they dint even Harv to come form the same state. there are some so so common names as family names like John, Mohammed, Ali, Daudu etc. i am sure they dint have to be related in your country too. do they?

for chinese may be, bcos the same sir name is from the same family tree, may be from the same Ancestor and branch out.
