As mentioned previously everyones is different and should be measured at the same time every day as temperature fluctuates during a 24 hour period. Nomal body temperature is around 36.8c. What you are suggesting is part of the "Billings" method of conceiving. You should take you temperature at the same time every day and when a pattern starts to emerge of an increase you may be ovulating. Although you would have to rule out the fact that you are not just unwell with for instance a cold etc. At the time of ovulation your vaginal mucuos will usually become stringy, a little like the uncooked white of an egg. If you are trying for a baby you need to be taking 400mcg of folic acid once daily until the 12th completed week of pregnancy. You should also abstain from mould ripened cheese, pate and funnily enough eggs that are not fully cooked as well as a few other things. Good luck.

Everyone's normal is different. You have to take yours before you get out of bed for a few weeks. When you see it rise by a degree or two you know you are ovulating.
