The Cowboy's were a big dissapointment this year all the way around. They have a great core of talent but the coaching staff didn't always put them in the best situations to be successful. But then again the coaches didn't drop balls or cause stupid penalties that cost them games either. The next coming year they Cowboys have alot to think about in terms of personnel and now just as much in their coaching staff with the departure of Zimmer. Zimmer wasn't a bad coach he was just a bad coach at the system he was trying to run. In order to run the 3-4 with success you have to have the perfect personnel and our linebackers just didn't cut it. Brady James was horrible and most of the time just got in the way of other people who were in a better position to make the tackle. Ayodele played most consistent of the rest of the linebackers other than DeMarcus Ware. Unfortunately Ware can't do everything by himself. I doubt if there will be much change from last year to this year so it is possible that we will see much of the same for some time.
I now want to answer the question as if I were the one who mattered. Bill Parcells doesn't seem to have the same enthusiasm as he did before I wouldn't say he's old, but yeah he's getting just a little old. I think he lacks the energy it takes to make a complete season at this stage in his career. We definitely need a new offensive and defensive coordinator that can make adjustments during the game and has good game planning skills. It was evident that all the other teams after the New Orleans game practically knew what the Cowboys were thinking before they even lined up. Personnel wise I'm sorry but T.O. has to go. Anyone that says that he's not disruptive is crazy. Since his first day he was a circus and in the end it just isn't worth it with all the dropped passes. Keyshawn only wanted 2 million for one year and I know he's not T.O. but that is exactly why he would have been better. Keyshawn is a good teammate and a leader and leadership more than anything was sorely missed by the Cowboys this season. We brought T.O. so we could have someone who could move the chains and instead we ended up punting because he dropped so many passes. Drops are just as important as touchdowns. The rest of the offense is decent but they definitely need another QB for backup and some younger players on the offensive line. Flozell Adams is horrible and Rivera just wasn't worth the money. I would consider dumping one or both of their salaries to get better defensive personnel and better draft picks.Next you really have to consider one of two options. Either boost your safety position or your pass rush or both. The Cowboys will go no where with the defense playing the way the did this year specifically their linebackers and safeties. Roy Williams has unfortunately become a big liability in coverage and lately his hard hitting has just affected his own teammates. Unless you keep him close to the line of scrimmage or have him blitzing a quarterback you might as well trade him and get some value for him while you still can. Watkins is just a rookie so you can't expect him to just come in and make the pro-bowl. If I could make any of the decisions the quickest way to solve the Cowboys problems would be to let go of T.O. and use the cap money to bring in Adalius Thomas from the Ravens and Michael Strahan of the Giants. Thomas will come with a big price tag but Strahan could possibly go cheap since he spent most of the year injured. Thomas is a perfect compliment to Ware and then you would have the other 3-4 outside linbacker you need for stopping the run. Then you could get maybe a decent WR to go with Glenn and Crayton. Too bad the Cowboys made the playoffs because that means their draft pick will be way down on the list to bring in a player that could make an impact immediately. But you do have some trade value in Owens and Williams to make some valuable picks in this years draft. Oh well none of this will probably happen so i'll just go and configure my madden team this way and win the Superbowl again.

1) TO wasn't that disruptive. Before the season was over all the sports-casters were saying "TO will not be coming back to Dallas" when people weren't positive the Eagles would get rid of him before last season ended. This just confirms that the media exagerrates his behavior just to get a good story (not a TO fan, not at all, just a hater of media spin and those who get sucked into it)
2) a more disciplined secondary, and better coverage safties. For most of the year their D was very good (I don't know where that "huge fan" got her info). It seems they just fell apart at the end. I had read an article about the beinging of December that said Terrence Newman had only given up 2 TDS in the past 2 years ---then a week or 2 later I witness him give up 2 in one game!. That is very odd IMO --there must be some cause to their loss of discipline (same w/Vikings --started out rockin, Johnson was good, then 2nd half..BAM! they loose the remaining games despite having no changes)
3) A more dominant back than just a combo of 2 average backs. The only other real 1-2 punches are Jacksonville and NE and both of their Vets were at a time "star" RBs, and their rookie counterparts look to be future stars. They use the 1-2 out of strategy (and their vets are old...) not because neither back is that good (of the 2 though I'd pick MB3)

Alot...first off as a Cowboys fan im really hoping that Romo doesnt let the Seahawks defeat get to his head and ruin him, it happens in sports (ask Brad Lidge, huge Astros fan here too). Secondly, im glad our defensive coordinator left, Zimmer was AWFUL!! But so was our defense, especially the secondary. Losing Greg Ellis this season was rough b/c that only gave us one guy who could get to the QB on a regular basis and that was DeMarcus Ware. Next season we need at least one more good - great defensive lineman to help out the DB's. Then we need another FS that can cover, b/c Roy Williams isnt a great coverage SS and then Pat Watkins and Keith Davis together were terrible in coverage also, not a good combo. Next...i like Terry Glenn i do, but Patrick Crayton is the young gun and he could be a hell of a weapon if he was used ALOT more. TO has to put up the same numbers as this season WITHOUT the dropped balls, and he actually was not a bad influence on the team this season so hopefully he'll keep that up to. Jason Witten needs to be a bigger part of the offense and once in the redzone we have to have more options rather than handing it to MB3 every single time. I mean he is very good, but he did it for 16 games and as soon as we got into the redzone Seattle practically shut us down knowing who the ball was going to. Julius Jones has to get a lil more involved as well and we shouldnt abandon the running game so early. Last...i cant stand Bill Parcells...we need a new young coach (look at the young ones, Mangini, Payton) that can add some spice to this team and give them a different style rather than the boring bs over and over. I just dont like Parcells never have, I think he's overrated and I hope he decides not to come back. I think this team would play alot more loose and would have alot more fun with the game if he werent involved, he makes it to tense and uptight and doesnt treat them like grown men, I dont think the players back him and fully listen.
Anyways those are my ideas...

The cowboys biggest problem is Terrell Owens. He is an incredible athlete, but a cancer in any team sport. With his talent, he should be a leader and setting an example. Instead, he does nothing but run his mouth and create problems.
Owens should look at the career of a REAL athlete and role model in Barry Sanders. The greatest RB ever let his performance do his talking for him, and never ran his mouth about who supposedly disrespected him or what he didnt get.

1. Find out if T.O.'s hand was really broken, if it was, give him another chance, with an unbelievably short leash.
2. Play crayton, glenn is great, but crayton is the next big thing.
3. Get rid of Roy Williams, he single handedly lost you 3 games, bc he can't cover...anyone.
4. Run the ball, Romo is good, but J.Jones and M. Barber can be the best backfield duo in football, give it to them often.
5. Just find another impact defender. Ware is great but can't do it all himself.
6. This one is for the fans, GET JERRY JONES OUT OF THERE. Anyway you can, just get rid of him. He has ruined superbowl seasons for that team, like this yr, if Romo starts at the beginning of the season like the Tuna wanted, they have a bye the 1st wk, and are playing New Orleans at home this wkend. JJ's gotta go. Only Al Davis is worse for his team in the NFL

I quit watching sports 20 + plus years ago because of the Dallas cowboys. I lived in Washington state and all you could ever see on TV was the cowboys, every weekend, they had the gall to call them "Americas team" and that's because simple mined people like to follow a winner, yet these same people when the team wins will say "we won" but if the team loses they say "they lost"

They need a tighter defense. Roy Williams is a hard hitter but he gives up too many big plays. They need some more big bodies on the D line also

Get rid of Terrell Owens.I think they need to improve on defense, but honestly a big help would be to get rid of Terrell Owens. He is just a big distraction
