Most times blocked fallopian tubes are discovered when fertility is being questioned. Blocked fallopian tubes are often the cause of infertility. Some people will have pain if the blockage is severe but some feel no symptoms or have no pain at all. The worst case would be a tubal pregnancy which causes extreme pain. Scarring and inflamation of the tubes can cause a dull ache or sharp pain and bleeding between periods.

Your doc can tell you immediately when heperforms an HSG scan (Hysterosalpingogram ) This test is carried out in the x-ray department of the hospital and is a screening test to check if the tubes are blocked. A speculum is passed (like when having a pap smear test) and a small amount of dye is injected through the cervix. A series of x-rays are taken which show the outline of the uterus and if the tubes are open, dye will be seen flowing through. Just ask your doc for it, if you have been ttc for a while he will probably just order the scan.

well there are few methods like hsg (in hsg they will pass a dye in females vagina )but i think leproscopy is the best method to know ur tubes status.physically there are not much cleared symptoms test is very easy it will take 15 mins will give local anesthesia and may be u have to stay in hospital for some hours and its not painful or expensive .so go ahead and wish u all the best.

Well. I'm no doctor, but i am a nurse, the easiest thing i would say, is that when your egg travels down the fallopean tube, it triggers your period, without this process happening, you should in a sence have a lighter period, or none at all
