I am a writer, and I enjoy writing about depression alot, and it's very rare that i write a story in which all of the main characters survive.I write songs and poems about death. I simply think it's a strong topic, which arouses deep emotions in readers. I also talk often with my friends about what comes after we die, and what dying is like. My parents are extremely worried about me... do they have a right to be? why/ why not?

Just because you enjoy or focus on topics dealing with depression or death, the cause and affects of the whole dying process shouldn't be of extreme worry as long as you're spiritually sound and it's not consuming you from day to day changing you ect... Life and death is one we all have in common. Death is about courage, dignity among others, but also stems from the emotion fear of the unknown, or the uncertainty in which we have not experienced yet ourselves. Just because some prefer to explore that area more than others is perfectly normal in my book.

No youre perfectly fine. I am a songwriter and i write about it like all the time. Its just one of the most fascinating subjects to me. I dont see how thinking about it is crazy. Death is a part of life everyone goes through it. It is one thing everyone shares a fear of. Im an atheist so i guess it intriques me even more to know such an erupt end can happen. I have had thoughts of suicide though. But its really stupid and ive always tried to figure out why people would do something so irrational.

I've been thinking about suicide for 10 years and unfortunately I'm still here. and I don't care to read about other depressed people--it doesn't arouse any emotions in anyone. Right now you're just a silly teenager. You'll eventually learn to keep quiet about it. I guess it's natural. My friends and I did the same thing except we talked to eachother about it and knew better than to go to aldults.

You are a writer? Do you write "alot"? You think death is a "strong" topic? I think your parents should worry about you making any money as a writer.
