I think everyone is misunderstood. Like one person said everyone always does what they do because they think it is good. It does not erase the fact he was a ruthless tyrant. But i dont see any difference between him and us. We went over there and probably killed more innocent people then him. It is somehow justified. By saying it was for the better good and the death's were part of war. I wonder how the family of the dead felt about that.

i'm not sure about misunderstood...but i also heard that he fed the birds in jail. which isn't too much of a big deal, once you think about it, because what else is there to do?

anyways i think saddam really thought what he was doing was truly right, just like hitler, and so he did it without seeing the fact that killing so many people was cruel, innocent or not. nobody does anything and keeps doing it, believing what they are doing has no good reason/purpose/etc.

He was responsible for thousands of deaths, including many innocent children.Whether he had musical talent or not does not take away from the fact that he was a monster.

hardly misunderstood. regardless of the sob stories you hear about him, it doesnt change the fact that he killed many thousands of people very ruthlessly. never heard of the musical thing though.
