Like the first two answers said, embryonic cells have much greater capacity to develop into different kinds of cells. All adult stem cells are limited in the types of cells they can become. Embryonic stem cells are totally versatile.
We've only had amniotic stem cells for a week now, so it remains to be seen what the potential for these cells is. Hopefully amniotic stem cells will be just as versatile as embryonic stem cells. Nobody really wants to use embryonic stem cells unless we have to.

are you able to provide me the call of a liberal who has spoken out adverse to individual stem cells. No you won't be able to, for some reason the conservative ideas breaks down at the same time as confronted with better than one selection, oh and whoever said racism in this context has were given to be a troll and purposely diminishing the various many situations in Y/A that the accusation is easily genuine.

embryonic stem cells have the ability to differentiate into many kinds of cells, but as we get old our stem cells lose the ability to differentiate into many kind of cells they differentiate into a specific kind of cells.
Example: basal stem cells of skin differentiate into keratinocytes only.
bone marrow stem cells differentiate into red and white blood cells.
