Is the advertising that it is try to sell you one of these useless products? It is scam advertising trying to swindle you. A computer infection called smitfraud is causing the phony warnings (see below).

AdwarePunisher
AdwareSheriff,
AlphaCleaner,
Antispyware Soldier,
AntiVermins,
AntivirusGolden,
AVGold,
BraveSentry,
MalwareWipe,
PestTrap,
PSGuard,
quicknavigate.com,
Security iGuard,
Smitfraud,
SpyAxe
SpyFalcon,
SpyGuard
SpyHeal,
SpySheriff,
Spyware Vanisher,
Spyware Soft Stop,
SpywareQuake
SpywareSheriff,
SpywareStrike,
Startsearches.net
TitanShield Antispyware,
Trust Cleaner,
UpdateSearches.com
Virtual Maid,
VirusBlast,
VirusBurst,
Win32.puper,
WinHound

If so, then you have a Smitfraud infection and a free removal tool called SmitFraudFix with the removal procedure is here:
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php

More infomation and another free removal tool called RogueFix can be found here:
http://www.internetinspiration.co.uk/roguefix.htm

Even more info:

Most "All-Purpose" malware apps such as AVG, Norton, Spybot etc unforturnayly can not remove this vile pest called Smitfraud.

Good luck.

I think i know what your talking about. If it's what i think your getting they are system pop up messages that say "your system has been infected" or something along thoose lines. You may not nessasarily have a virus... thees messages are advertisement pop ups, and should be able to be blocked using a program like Norton antivirus and Norton Internet security. Theese programs together are quite effective and are relatively cheap to purchase. You can find it at any retail store like Best Buy, Comp USA, Walmart or other stores with an electronics department.

If you infact do have a virus, this program can isolate the infection and send it to norton so that they can come up with a fix to whatever you have.

Hope this helps

Here is a web site that u can use for anti-viruses. The best part of this program is it is FREE. It also updates everyday. Doesn't interfere with other background programs. I've been usin it for over a year, no problems. Make sure u register, that way u get an e-mail sent to u with the key. The site is: www.avast.com. There are several of them, make sure u download the home/personal package.

Me too!!! My PC is infected with Trojan.Dropper, Trojan.Adclicker, Trojan.Haxdoor-CNNIC,etc. That Trojan viruses can't be quarantined or repaired by Norton Antivirus and Ad-Adware SE Professional(Lavasoft). I am still trying to kill these viruses. Oh...really makes me annoyed. The box Virus Alert from Norton AntiVirus appears again and again and says that Unable to repair and quarantine this file. Because of that box, appearing again and again all the time, i can't do my work peacefully. I always lose temper when my PC is infected by viruses.
Thank u for ur question and also answers.

u need a very reliable anti-virus. try avg or norton they are best. also McAfee is good. if u select avg try another program hacker eliminator with it. it has a process monitor that can stop a virus before it occurs-i think. but be sure to update all. hacker eliminator does not have much updating-it's been 2 or 3 weeks since they released a new update. use hacker eliminator to it's best. u get only trial version at site below. i hope u know what to do after that (wink!). try with others as well. Avg is free!

test you pc with anti-virus the it is going to aske in case you want to flow it to something like an endemic vault once you do this it creates a again-up document and strikes the contaminated document to the vault that ought to end it yet in case you truly hate it you visit the vault and delete the virus.
