Yes, I have heard that, but I think that's because she is a feminist. I don't think there's an ounce of truth to it.

Unfortunately this country is still so homophobic that starting that rumor about someone is still an effective way to hurt their public reputation in the eyes of many people. Some men seem to be especially receptive to that accusation about an especially aggressive and successful woman, particularly if she is much more successful than they are. They don't necessarily believe it, but they like to spread the rumor. And it is an especially devastating accusation since it is impossible to disprove. It's a classic case of poisoning the well.
Here's a clue that the rumor is probably false. It has been going around since nearly the beginning of her husband's campaign for the presidency; however, no particular woman has ever been cited as being attached to her. With all the scrutiny that family has been under, and considering all the other things she in particular has been accused of (for instance, murdering Vince Foster and moving his body), if anyone had the slightest idea who her supposed lover was, that name would be made public so quick our heads would spin.
