no they won't trade them primarily because nobody would take him and his over blown salary so philly did the right thing and waived him...
hear pistons and the lakers are in the front run of signing him. He'll be great with LA though i think C-Web would most likely want a home coming at Detroit.

Chris Webber isn't going to be traded by Philadelphia -- he's already been released by them. He is now a free agent and is able to negotiate and sign with any team in the league.

What espn said is that Webber wants to play for one of these five teams Detroit, Miami, Dallas, LAL, or San Antonio.

And he got his contract bought out making him a free agent.

He wasn't actually traded - he was waived by the Sixers so they could clear $$ space. There was a story today on Yahoo that said he's VERY close to joining the Pistons.

NO, because he got bought out, he is free to sign w/ anyone. I bet the Lakers will get him. The Pistons (back in Michigan/ back w/ Wallace) could be in the mix too. I also heard he wants to goto the Spurs, but they don't want him. I also heard Heat and possibly Knicks. (that's all they need, another veteran w/ attitude)
