i thought it might have something to do with racism. but i was not sure. thanks!

I don't know but I would assume the same as you did. I would think there would be a negative connotation with the word aryan and it would only be reasonable to eliminate it from the title of the movie.

Most likely because Aryan is commonly associated with Neo-Nazi groups. That is box office poison. It would do better if they called it "The Klu Klux Klan Couple" instead.

Since that is still poison to ticket sales, "The Couple" will work better. Besides they might draw a few more people in that think its a normal love story.
