Yes -- and no. In 1980, the very last Roadrunner cartoon ever directed by Chuck Jones was called "Soup or Sonic." It was not a theatrical cartoon, but was specially made for television as part of the "Bug's Bunny's Busting Out All Over!" TV special.
In it, the Coyote chases the Roadrunner through a pipeline which gets smaller and smaller, shrinking the duo. When they run back through the pipe the other way, the Roadrunner returns to normal height but the Coyote remains tiny. The three-inch Coyote grabs the bird's giant leg, but realizes it's not going to work. In the final scene, he holds up a sign towards us that reads: "Okay wise guys, you always wanted me to catch him..." then flips the sign around and it says "NOW what do I do?"

Yes, its true. Cannot tell the the name of the episode, but the coyote builds a giant 'coyote-robot' and uses it to momentarily apprehend the roadrunner. But of course the road-runner gets away. And I'm fairly sure that was not the last show. There's a new box set of Looney Tunes out for sell, maybe that episode is in there somewhere.

Nor might want to he be sure in bandages or have a flattened head or a pushed in nostril, or walking with a crutch from getting damage or maimed. we may omit out on each and each and every of the humorous mishaps for particular, if he ever gave up the chase, from both catching the Roadrunner, or not looking him by some skill. No, i don't believe of that Wiley will ever capture the Roadrunner. As Wiley has shown, he's not the best coyote round.

Coyote catches Roadrunner, the two look at each other - Coyote says (In a British accent)
"Oh I do apologies ! I thought you were someone else, dear boy"
OR
Coyote catches Roadrunner, taps him on the beak and runs off saying "Tag - You're it now !!!"

He does catch the Roadrunner however he let him go. o the coyote it was the the thrill of the hunt, not to really catch him.
