You're going to have to etch the chrome first using full strength muriatic acid. The problem is that you'll also destroy the pickups doing so.

You MIGHT be able to "sand" the chrome using crocus cloth- a type of metal sandpaper- then use a lacquer based sandable primer, then your flat black paint.

start by spraying with a primer then your satin black. Tremclad is a top end paint and designed for metal. May not need the primer

It's pretty hard to spray chrome, it'll peel down the line. I know of nothing that will stay on chrome.
