"Not for the money" is what he claims - but £500k per week ?

Can't believe dozy Americans are prepared pay all that for on over-the-hill, over-rated, hen-pecked Captain England lol. He couldn't turn down a pay day like that though.

Me - I would have got someone who can do more than spot kicks for a tenth of that money.

Yanks - he only runs in straight lines, can't dribble, can't head, and all he can bring is t-shirts sales and a pretty face and that wasn't enough for Madrid at a fifth of what you are paying - ggod luck.

£26 million a year or something? there's ony 8 major league Soccer Players that recieve over $100,000 dollars a year!

Its very ODD! Beckham used to attract 80,000 people + at his matches, not sure he is going to feel comfortable playing in front of half that amount!

I'm sure he will have a few enemies on the field but im sure his kids would get a far better education living in LA than in europe...dare i say even in the UK...

He is clearly no longer interested in playing football at the highest level - if he did then he wouldn't be going to USA. The USA League is particularly weak with one or two fairly decent teams. He is going over there as he is more of a celebrity than a footballer these days, he has gone past his peak as a football player and this move clearly reflects that.

If you can even call it a job, then I think we could all stretch to a few hours each week. It's the money he's earning that's ridiculous, but I suppose Victoria will spend most of that for him!!!

It's Victoria I feel sorry for, how on earth is she going to manage to spend all of that money, I don't think there are enough hours in the day for her, poor lamb. She must feel exhausted just thinking about it.
