for me I believe it should be someone that is your bestfriend and is sexually compatible with you.

To me, marriage means companionship, in essence. Enjoying each other's company, having someone to look up to, mutual respect, compatibility, being able to count on your partner's support.

For me marriage is a sacred bow, I'd only get married to someone I love, no more no less. The binding reason should be love. It doesn't matter to whom, yes could be to a bestfriend only if that great friendship develops into true love. I don't really think that one of the prerequisites is to be sexually compatible. I believe that if you love each other dearly, that eventually follows. There is no trial and error in marriage. The bow alone binds you to a lifetime commitment. So one must be sure of his/her decision.

Marriage means you're going to spend the rest of your life with the person you love. To share the good times and the bad times. Eventually start a family. Marriage is being there for one another. Its having arguments but never going to bed angry at each other. Its sharing each others dreams, goals, triumphs, and defeats. Its knowing when to say Im Sorry. Being a best friend to your partner. Marriage is the most beautiful thing in the world. Knowing that you always have that special someone waiting for you at home. Always sharing the bed with him/her. Its never feeling alone. Its that and many more beautiful things. Communication is very important though.

well, sexual compatability is just a small part of it. but there are more important things like love, undertanding each other, care, trust , giving space, repecting each other's individuality, and above all making sure that u ,from ur part gives ur best &does ur best to keep it going and making a happy family. i guess as long as all these things are there... a happy married life will automatically follow/ happen. ( u need to treat ecah other as human beings and not slaves/ animals!!!!)
btw, a best friend being ur spouse is not a gud idea. ur spouce is different and ur best friend is different. u need both to go on wit ur life. but having said dat, its also important to find a gud friend in ur spouse.
