"Rain of gold" was my sisters book and she passed it on to me when I was fifteen. I am now 23 and I still love this book.

Heidi, a girl of the Alps - I have always been fascinated by the story. I tink I have read it a hundred times when I was a child. I hadn`t read it in a while until last year, it is still lovely.

Oh, and there are a few books that, when I read now I can understand a lot more. For example Gulliver`s Travels or Don Quixote - they were such wonderful stories, but reading them now opens my eyes to the fact thet there is something more than the story it used tobe.

I think everybody should try and read a few of the books they have enjoyed as a child. There is always something new to find out, or just to recapture the feeling of far far away.

'the gashley crumb tinies' by edward gorey. it's a child's book but i discovered it when i was seventeen, for me it dissolved the creativity or dr. seuss & the morbidity of edgar allan poe (both of which are literary idols of mine). i loved that it was quirky, cute but drastically bleak.
