If there is such a thing it certainly doesn't apply in Sarawak. Ask any coffee shop worker there and they will tell you they take home around $400 per month and a lot of the taiko will take $100 of that to share a dingy room with four co-workers.

Could you live on $300 per month?

Edit:
click on the Malaysian sign (68th) and it's tells you there is no such thing as a minimum wage in Malaysia

There is no such law or regulation (including Labor Act) in Malaysia guided minimum wages to be pay to workers or employers. However, market rate do apply depend on location.

Except you are in hotel line, there is guideline on minimum wages to be pay, If I am not mistaken, should be RM300.00 per month.
