You know like on the popular tab websites. I'm new to guitar and want to learn some songs, the tab's don't make sense yet. I can only play 4 chords at the moment. Any tips? Thanks

the stings are numbered 6-1 your fingers go on the fret indicated by what ever number on the strings

jupe got the answer here but seriously try to learn most of the chord first before you tabs. Its really hard to read tabs if you don't know much chords.

the top most part of the tab is the first string and so on.. the numbers are for the frets.. you just strum or pluck the first one that comes up..
