The records of sex offenders cannot be erased in the state records unless requested after a long period of time. Nevertheless, if there is transfer to another state, the record is not carried.

If he is still on probation, he cannot leave the county where he currently resides until he is finished with probation. If he is no longer under supervision, then moving is okay. He will need to register immediately with the Police/Sheriff's Department in the town of the new residence. I think you will need to notify the place where he is registered now that you are moving. Check with the Sheriff's department where you live now to be sure or with his former or current probation officer. Laws and guidelines are different in places other than the US. Also, if you ask law enforcement about moving to another country, be prepared for them to think it's somewhat suspicious. Don't be alarmed, just explain what you need.

Can't you do any better? Sheesh. Go to your State's website and find out what steps are necessary. No matter what state he would go to, he has to register in that state. Why would a different country want him? I think a passport would be denied on the basis of him being a sex offender.

WHY, WHY, WHY? Are you treating yourself with such disrespect as to be dating a sex offender?

Oh, I know, he claims he didn't do it or the child or adult made him do it. Heard that from them all before.

STOP DATING HIM and believe enough in yourself to see that you deserve better.

YES he does have to register for the rest of his life everywhere he goes.

You need to talk to his probation officer and hear the truth from him or her about your bodyfriend and they can tell you the rules as well.

Check with your local police department which should be able to give you all the rules and regulations.
