Probably not, you probably won't even see the signs of the crush liking you cause of being caught up in your own self consciousness. Confidence is key. Be happy with yourself and others notice the glow.

Yes, I would believe them. I would work hard to gain self-confidence and not let self hatred ruin my life. Don't go out of your way to convince someone who cares about you that you aren't worthy of their love. They may believe you eventually.
