I listen to Romey everyday. I am a clone and very proud of it. There is a lot of people on Yahoo that don't like Rome, but that's probably because they don't get the show. I didn't like him that much in the beginning either. Rome does very good interviews. I'll guarantee anyone will be hooked after a couple of weeks of listening.

Jim Rome is the sports equivalent of Limbaugh. He just throws of innflamatory comments to get a ruckus going and frankly I cannot resepct ANY sports talk show broadcaster that doesn't have a "Team" I used to listen to the guy (in the days before satelite radio).
I don't want a homer, mind you, someone who will mindlessy follows, talks about or favors a certain set of teams, but I think the joy and pain of being a sport fan of a specific team or player is necessary to be a good host, without that its quite fake to me.
And, his pretentiousness! Inviting and inciting his clones to various statements of outragousness, but then condemneing them when they go too far and taking a moral high horse as if he is infallable.
This all said, when you strip the b.s. clone nation, the best call rants crap, the guy is a subperb interviewer. He would probally do great as a news interviewer, the guy has outstanding skill and when he is focussed on a person and their topic at hand, the guy can and has delivered.
But, ohhh the mountainous loads of complete dreck and waste you have to wade through for great inetrviews!

I would have to say colin cowherd. Jim Rome is an little panty stain with an impotent rage.
