Maybe you appear rude to them.

GOSH, I said "Hi" to Ruth THREE DAYS AGO, and still no reply - HOW RUDE!

It's not really nice to generalize people.
I'm a Filipino and I'm not rude when people say Hi to me.
Like in our country where not really used on greeting each other on a daily basis by communication we usually nod our head when were trying to say hi or recognize each other,it's a culture thing. When somebody ask me question i usually just nod or shake my head in response instead of saying yes or no. And that depends on the question and who is asking.
Some girls are just shy to when stranger speak to them.Which i still do.

That's so not true. You shouldn't just describe everyone of that race based on a few examples. I'm Asian, and I'm pretty perky and friendly. In fact, I'm usually the one to say hello first. OR, these girls are afraid you want them to do your homework....

Not all of them...maybe some of them are, but is it because they are probably shy..or were you in asia that time?
Lots of women there doesnt speak English very well...you might talk a bit more than hallo, they stared at you like you are an alien!

They are not satisfied by saying hi hello etc. They need real insertion to be happy - I suppose

maybe they want it straight forward, no more hi and hellos... just say what's your business to them and thats it.
