You'll find it all over in a certain degree, but in America because of it's history with Slavery it more prevailant.
IN south American and latin and caribean countried it is really not a prevailant .Most families are very diversed because of the history of those areas. Myself even being South American ( aboriginal ) Chinese and German .Theirs always small pockets everywhere. I also find that living in Canada its not a big deal like when you go over to the stated and you find areas that are denoted black and other white ! I also have friends studing in Asia and they told me that racism is not as big their but is STIL PREVALANT !!!! . On the other hand I can tell you in Places in China it can be more prevailant. My grandmother for instant did not repect or think very much of anyone who was not Chinese ! And that did not matter if you were White of black !!I know due to wnats again going back in history ( trying to make a long story short ) many Chinese don't trust the Japanese visa versa.Actually their is a law you can use in Japan if the person you marry you find out that they have Chinese and did not tell you of an anulment you can get .That was in a documentary I looked at !
Anyone who just says whites hate blacks and black hates white is just not educated or has travelled to enough countries to find more out .( thiers more discrimniation than just in those two groups ) Their is also other racism .Example in Austrailia and New Zealand the way the aboriginals feel about their treatment with colonization. When it comes down to it ...when we all die and are buried we all begin to look the same so everyone should get over it , as ignorant idiots are everywhere )

I think that in America, its a lot worse than other places because of the diversity. In other parts of the world, where there is very little diversity.. it's less racism. I don't think it really has anything to do with America, per say, because America is not the only place that is diverse. Anywhere where there is much diversity, it will be racism.

Its not only in America. Over there, the dark-skinned are discriminated. In Singapore, the dark-skinned are, too. The Malays and the Indians will find it difficult to find a job as mostly they are looking for Chinese. Chinese, chinese, chinese. And worst of all 3/4 of all the job ads in the papers says that they require mandarin speaking individuals. How fair can that be? And no wonder most of the Malays and the indians would just settle for a low pay job and live life by the day.

All over.

The Koreans look down on blacks, the Japanese look down on everyone. The Tutsis and the Hutus tried to exterminate each other. Whites have been massacred in Rwanda, Brundi, South Africa and Rhodesia. The Mexicans massacred the Yaquis.

They just don't make a cult out of it.

Yes, these dicotomies are everywhere. Somewhere on the basis of race, at other places these are based on religion, caste, creed, colour, or sect ( Sunni & Shia Muslims).
