Do they just prevent you from going after anything you want?

I find that my insecurities make me want to be better, they make me want to challenge myself.

The same here. My insecurities won't ever stop me.

I challenge myself, too. It can be hard, though. I'm insecure but I'm a college major with a pretty darn good grade point average. My insecurities almost kept me from achieving that goal, but I pushed myself forward~

My insecurities prevent me from going after what I want, and I want to become a published writer. I simply do not know where to begin, but I'll figure it out someday....

My answer might be different than what you meant, but I sometimes feel trepidation - never insecurity! Training makes me feel secure in what I do, but it doesn't block out slight anxieties! And, yes I do proceed - I have to, it's my job and life!

if I have an insecurity it tends to pop up in mid pursuit so its like a litle fire that starts and needs to be stomped out before it takes hold - I think most of mine are about rejection.

Sort of like the next goal down the road. Great if you can get there. Lousy if you can't.
