Don't take this the wrong way.....

It is curable, but you have to care about it to cure it.

While that may sound like circular reasoning, it underscores the main point of curing apathy......

and that is this:

If you care enough to ask the question, then you are not apathetic.

Once you realize that, you have taken the first step to curing apathy - now build on it daily and realize that only the dead are truly apathetic.

Diseases are curable, broken bones will mend but apathy is something a person must want to change about their personality. Are you willing to throw away indifference and laziness, can you put aside boredom and lethargy? Can a person wrap themselves in the cloak of concern and interest for others? These are the opposite of apathy and in them is healing. So I ask you , is apathy curable? Only you can answer the question because only you know what's inside and if you can change. There is no magic pill, no prescription for love and giving it's all up to you. So do it!

Of course it is curable. It is usually just for a period of time after we have been hurt, It is a system for rebuilding our confidence and strength after a hard time. Most often it is when we have cared about something or someone, and been hurt or disappointed. We stop caring for a while. Once we have been convinced that the world will somehow continue, we find things to care about again and after a while, we forget that we didn't care. There is no magic cure, and you are not required to be Little Mary Sunshine every second. So ride with it, and it will work itself out in its own time.

I think it is. It depends on mental state and condition. In a regular, healthy person, yes.
