I'm in the beginning of my 3rd trimester, and this is my 3rd go 'round. The right side of my right thighs is always falling asleep. Have you ever experienced this? do you know what it might mean?

I had that happen to me and my OB said it was due to the baby compressing nerves, and that it had to do with my syatica. I know that's spelled wrong but it's late.

The baby could be sitting on a nerve or from all your organs being pushed up, something could be pinching a nerve causing the area to fall asleep.

I experienced the left side of my hip falling asleep and a pinch feeling. A nerve up around the baby was just being sat on causing this, which was so annoying to have because sometimes my leg would just go out from under me from the pinch and falling asleep. haha

Circulation and ligament pulling ugggg, the fun part of being pregnant.

Be sure to eat calcium rich foods. Calcium is less easily absorbed when you are pregnant, so your need for it increases.

Don't wear clothing that might restrict blood flow to your legs.

Try sitting tailor-style (cross-legged). This position naturally helps prevent pelvic congestion and improves circulation to the legs.

Try walking and pelvic rocking as natural ways to improve circulation to the legs.

Good luck hun enjoy the baby!

The baby is puting more weight on your right side and just like if you would sit on your foot, it would go to sleep. That's what is happening. Your baby is cutting off some of the circulation. It's no big deal. It just gives you some stories to tell when they get grown. Congrats!

My legs and arms always go to sleep. This is due to swelling tissues pressing on the nerves. As long as you aren't feeling any pain, you should be fine.
