First off congrats on being half way thru your pregnancy!!! Its normal to feel flutters one day and not the next with you being 20 weeks and all... Im 25 weeks and just started to feel my baby kick daily last week... I use to feel like I was pregnant at times either.. I wasnt hungry, sick, felt no movement it was like I was just overweight... So hang in there and youll start feeling ur baby regulary... Also The dr usually doesnt make u count movements until ur 27-28 weeks along... So dont worry

Most people feel the first movement between 16 and 22 weeks. Sometimes as far along as 25 weeks. They start off as flutters and are often mistaken for gas. The movements are irregular at first but within a few more weeks you will start to notice a pattern. There's really no need to be concerned right now. At 28 weeks you'll need to start paying more attention to this. Don't worry yet, just enjoy it. See the websites below for more info. Good luck!

At this stage of your pregnancy, it isn't unusual to go extended periods of time when you don't necessarily feel the baby moving. Many first time moms don't feel *any* movement at all until they're 24 or 25 weeks along.

If you're in doubt, a commercially available fetoscope will allow you to hear what's going on inside, but one of the best things to remember during pregnancy, in every case, is that worry serves no purpose. Stressing yourself out isn't going to make your baby move more, it's not going to make your baby healthy. Quite the contrary: it's going to make you feel awful, and it's going to make your pregnancy miserable.

Relax and give your baby time to grow larger and stronger. Right now he's only about the length of your hand from the tip of your middle finger to the heel of your palm and weighs less than a can of soda. Soon enough you'll be holding your belly and saying "Hey kid, what are you DOING in there?!?!"

My daughter did not get really active until I was 6 months pregnant. Around the time that I started feeling real kicks the doctor had me do kick counts everyday... at 20 weeks and you only feel flutters here and there that is okay. If it helps there are some things out there that let you listen to the heart beat... if it would make you feel more at ease to use one of those ask your doctor to recommend something you could purchase for that.

I didn't feel my son moving all that much till I was 25 weeks along. Most babies while in the womb are active while Mom is resting and since you are only 20 weeks along you just might not be feeling baby move while you are asleep. Relax enjoy your pregnancy and if you still feel concerns call your OB/GYN.

Its normal, your only 20 wks, just wait a little while longer, thats what happened to me, but then......it started to feel like my son was playing a soccer game in there and to this very day, he is still kicking a lot!! But if you get too worried and you feel like you need to call your doctor, feel free. Thats what they are there for!

All is probably well, but I was the same way during my pregnancy. I bought one of the home heart monitors from walmart. They're not too expensive and it cast my worries aside.
