Pujols is the friggin man. I'm from St.Louis so I'm a little bias. Did you know he was drafted from a community college outside Kansas City in the 13th round and was the 402nd overall pick.(hard to believe considering)He is undoubtedly the best active player in baseball today. Go Cards.

250 home runs (in only 5 years as a professional)
758 RBI's
748 runs scored
.332 batting average

Do some comparative studies of the first 5 years of everyone listed and you will get your answer.

Vladimir Guerrero is another five tool player. Manny Ramirez is a great hitter and can be a good left fielder at home. Big Papi is the greatest clutch hitter in the history of the Red Sox in the words of Don Orsillo, the Red Sox announcer. 8 or 9 years ago, Pedro Martinez was as good as any pitcher in the history of the game. Albert Pujols is an all-around player, great in the field and at the plate. And like Manny and Big Papi, he now has his own World Series championship. He did not contribute that much in the 2004 Series though.

To the two guys that said Roberto Clemente...Although I agree with you and he was a great ball player, He was born in Puerto Rico.

One of the best pitchers I have ever seen was Juan Marichal, The Dominican Dandy

Pujols is the best I've seen over the years as far as consistency goes, and he's got some years ahead of him too. His talent is off the charts.

I think Pujols outnumbers everyone.
I'm surprised that no one mentioned Sammy Sosa. I don't particularly like him, but he posted some impressive numbers. And please don't keep mentioning Clemente. He was from Puerto Rico, a different country.
