Today Pinnaclesports shut down business to American customers because of anti-gaming lesislation attatched to a port security bill that was spearheaded by former Senator Bill Frist. Good Riddance to that crook. I can no longer place a sports bet from my computer using this service. Now I am really ticked. Just wanted to vent a little., and say chalk one right lost up to those people who seem to think we are not losing any of them.

I agree with you in that we are losing our rights... The scary part is that it's happening so slowly that people don't notice (this is why they think we're not losing them). It's going to keep happening because we are allowing it to happen. We need to get involved and elect people who are against taking our freedom away.

This is interesting because the government has really began to crackdown on internet gambling of all forms. This probably does fit under Congresses power to regulate inter-state trade as this website is likely operated by a company that is foriegn (not in your state) to your state. So, Congress is simply exercising its authority on this issue.

The Internet in general has created many more legal issues, like file swapping, P2P music sharing, online gambling, trade in pornography, and sales across state lines, that will probably need to be worked out over the next few years.

Why not invest the money you were going to bet? Ok, just a thought. Frankly, I don't gamble.

Oddly enough, I'll be making my 2nd business trip in the last 2 years to Vegas next month. Go Figure.

Government has the right to prohibit gambling if it is against public policy and order.

We already have lost quite a few of our rights, and we will lose many more before we know it, if we aren't careful.
