First one: You don't always know if it's true. Some people are able to say that with a straight face when it really isn't true. Judge by actions, not only by the words.
Second one: No, it isn't usually. If you get along well and at least LIKE each other, then you might make it work. Otherwise, it doesn't help the kids. Kids are better off with 2 separate loving parents than two together who don't get along or fight often.

Love is doing not saying. The way people treat each other shows their feelings for each other. Don't stay together for the kids; Love each other for the kids. Too bad sometimes the kids are the mature ones.

Look deep in that persons eyes.......if they R bright and shining when they say "I LOVE U", they it is true....thats hw our bodies react to emotions.......ever heard of body language.....if someone is lying to U.......that person will never look in to ur eyes....he/she will do their best to avoide direct eye contacts......so thats a one way to know......the list goes on....U can just read a personality just by body language.......
For the second question........Wut I beleive is U should stay together. Coz the kids deserve both the parents love and attention.......so think of the kids......do U wanna see ur kids to be freaks when they R grown up? that will happen when they feel the loss of parents.....so even though U dont each other any more.....its a very nobel thing to do to stay together for the sake of the kids....they R the the future..........all the best......

NO, I tried for 3 years. You love your kids but its a lie to everyone, even yourself if you stay for the kids. I see that it hurt the kids, but you are such a better parent when you are happy. Just show them that just because the mom and dad aren't together doesn't mean things change for the worse. It could be better that way.Good luck.

u can never tell if someone's telling the truth by saying i love you...maybe u can feel it but ur feelings could be wrong... it's better to be honest with the kids than let them grow up in lies...if u dont love each other anymore, then dont stay together...dont fool urselves and dont fool the kids as well..be honest and face the consequences.

The kids will know. The question you should ask yourself is "Is staying together making it hard on the kids?"

I don't get hung up on whether someone loves me or not. It requires too much energy and is extremely selfish. Just love what you love, do the next right thing for the right reason(s), and don't waste valuable mental energy worrying about things that you have absolutely no control over.

love is not jealous, love is patient, kind, forgiving, respectfull, selfless, generous, thoughtfull. And NO it is not worth staying together just for the kids sake.Because if you ask them, they are probably just as miserable as you are! I know that from experience from a friend of mine

first part, by their actions, second never, it is better to have separate parents that love you then two in the house always fighting, the kid will grow up thinking this is normal and will repeat it with their spouse later on in life
