I have wondered the same thing when ppl say that... If you died, then how does anyone know what you were dreaming when you passed? Common sense tells me this myth is a load of b.s

About a week ago I actually held the dream until I hit - first time ever - I was still in bed when I woke up but I was face down (the way I fell) and I never sleep on my stomach. No ill effects.

Falling off a cliff in your dream where you feel your foot slips, actually means that you're "falling" asleep.
You will NEVER hit the ground. If you felt you hit the ground, you will wake up in your bed anyway.

I had a dream where I was falling, but it took forever to finish falling. I hit the ground and woke up next to my bed. It was weird, I wonder if I'd been awake would it have been in slow-mo?

Yeah, I've heard of that. But my best friend had one recently and she actually hit the ground before she woke up and she's still alive.

that was a myth when i was a little kid...i will say this though i fell of the top bunk and broke my nose from a dream where i was falling...thats pretty close to dying for a 7 year old.

Yep. Even if you didn't dream about dying, you would still die. Just not necessarily for a long time.
