I'm trying to watch a video on you tube but it tell me that I have a old version of javascript or it's turned off. But when i try to install flashplayer it tells me is aready installed can you please help me out.

javascript is known to every browser.
You do not install it - it is one of the languages they know.
But javascript can be turned off.
Or You can have a really old browser.
But I do not know which browser You have.
If You install a new browser You would have new javascript:
e. g. with
Firefox 1.5.0.9 javascript is on by default.
(with version 2 AFAIK also)
Opera 9.02 javascript is on by default.

javascript and flashplayer are not the same. if you are using intenet explorer 6 chances are javascript is built-in. you might want to try using IE6 instead of that other browser you are using

What they want to mean is Java Applet or Java Runtime. You download it for free from official sun microsystem site.
