No, you're confusing the context of the words.

Well, Homo Sapiens means "the thinking man" and does not have the same meaning as homo as in "same type".
Furthermore, we have a strong genetic connection (approx 99%) with our fellow primates the Bonobos. Check out this Wiki article regarding their love life and see how nature also has sexual variations. :)

Hello =)
Oh well...so much for getting to bed early...
Human sexuality is undoubtedly a "spectral" issue....no one is straight, bi, or gay, in regards to their sexuality..... Those labels merely apply to the "lifestyle" choices we make.....
Many of us live in a constant state of denial that we find members of both sexes attractive....and we should come to terms with that, but I think that is many years away, in reality. So, we take our place on the "spectrum" of human sexuality, and make a choice to live a "straight" "bi" or "gay" lifestyle...and we stick to that choice, for the most part.
In reality, it is not nearly that simple.....a man who is attracted primarily to women....any man.....will come across a male or two in his lifetime that he is attracted to.....at least one or two....The truth of the matter is, that if he could be with that man, and no one would ever know about it, he probably would, even though the thoughts of the specific male on male sex acts are repulsive to him......they would not be, in conjunction with that particular male.
The same is true of women, I think.
This openness that we should strive for in our sexuality is called "pansexuality", and the only creature that exhibits it is our closest genetic relative, the Bonobo. Of course, if you lock up males with high libidos together, you find that a much higher percentage of them will consider homosexual acts to be acceptable.....as in prisons.....etc... The same is true of females..... This further validates my theory......
Namaste,
--Tom

Homo sapiens is a Latin word for "wise man" or "knowing man".
It has no relation with what u have asked.

"Homo-" means "man" in Greek translation, and the word "homo sapiens" means "wise man". It is how biologists identify our species and has nothing to do with anybody's particular sexual habits.
This useage of the word "homo" has next to nothing to do with "homosexual" in this context except maybe in dirty talk.
"Homosexual" thus means "sex with men" so it is a sexist word itself, since many "homosexuals" are women.
Homosexuality is not a characteristic of homo sapiens particuarly, but it is a sexual defect, many say genetic, that causes affected species members to sexually misfunction. Homosexuality occasionally occurs among other species also, like fish for instance, at least among females of their species.

learn to spell, homo in that term does not mean sexual silly, however i think bisexual is the natural way . you may perfer one or the other but stuck without what you perfer i think you would indulge in homosexual activities rather than none at all. as long as no one you know would know about it.

Not to go into a long explanation but you have to brake the word down Homo is Latin (Etymology: New Latin Homin-, Homo, from Latin, human being)
