i thought all Subaru's were all wheel drive all the time. y not read owners manual? and what time are you leaving in the morning? why not call them before you leave or while on the way ( dont u have a celll phone) and im sure your not gonna need 4x4 till you hit the snow anyway. basically how far is it till hit snow?

Hopefully a owner will answer you for sure....BUT

If its AWD its Full time AWD
But you will need to turn the OverDrive off in Bad weather
If its A 4 X 4 model you have to In gauge the 4 WD
Switch While its running and the Light will come on.

It is a symmetrical AWD. That means all four wheels are turning all the time. Just drive it like a normal car.

It's done at the factory,it is an all wheel drive which means you don't have to shift it,it is already in all wheel drive and never comes out
