It's a bit early for it, but you could well be experiencing PUPPP - pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy. You need to call your prenatal health care provider for an appointment to determine the source of this rash and to get proper treatment for it, but to put your mind at ease until you do, know that these conditions rarely pose any risk in the short or long term for your baby -- the treatment is for your sake! (And necessary, you'll go nuts if you're itchy all over.)

I have just read That's Life Magazine issue 2 January 10,2007 (this is an Australian magazine) and in the mag is an article about this Mum who was alergic to being pregnant. They stated that she had Herpes Gestationis AND NO THIS IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE HERPES VIRUS AT ALL. Please go to the hospital or your doctor right away so that they can help you get the advice that you need. Good luck with your pregnancy. The lady the article was about had a beautiful healthy baby.

Call your doctor now!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not saying it is but......
If you're pregnant and develop a rash or if you've been exposed to someone with fifth disease (or to anyone with an unusual rash), call your obstetrician.

it could be an allergic reaction to something you ate or touched. have you been exposed to anything contagious? you should at least talk to a triage nurse on the phone. but you will probably be told to go to the er . if you can wait. call your doctor first thing in the morning. try some calamine lotion or other soothing lotion. if your doctor allows it take a benedryl. take a cool sponge bath. do what you need to stay as comfortable as possible until you see the doctor.

my daughter had a rash all over her chest, she is 35 weeks pregnant. she went to the doctor, and he said sometimes pregnant women get them. perfumes, lotions, etc. but, if it doesn't go away and your not using different soaps, etc. then you should go see your doctor, just to be sure.......

best is to seek medical help. you are pregnant and it is better to call the doctor for nothing, rather have things complicated.
