Personally, I like Kidd a lot better, the man can do it all. Score, Dish, Board, and D-Up. If you compare their career numbers, I'd give Kidd the edge. That's why I have Kidd on my fantasy squads and not Nash.
However, Kidd doesn't get MVP mention because his team's a loser, play in a weak division, and are a small-market team as opposed to the Phoenix Suns. That's why they're going to Brooklyn
IMO Kidd is a shoo-in for the HOF

In My opinon I think Jason Kidd Is an all around better Point Guard than Steve Nash, The Major strength in steve nash's game is his Passing which Jason Kidd in my opinion is just as good as nash, and then thats' about where it ends with Nash, He doesn't rebound, he doesn't play solid good defense, If you compare both of there stats Kidd does more than Nash does on a nightly basis The man has 83 triple doubles in his career which he just passed wilt chamberlain, lets see how many triple doubles steve nash can put up in a season, I don't think he even has one so far this season steve nash is a great passer, jason kidd is a great player, the reason why Nash gets more mention than Kidd as far as MVP mentions is because Nash's team has a better record than Jason Kidd's team, let's see what would happen if you swapped both players and put them on the opposite Team (Kidd in phoenix) (Nash in New Jersey) and see what happens!

Kidd is more inconsistent than Nash. He may a triple double one night then the next week put up 5 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assist night. He is a great player, just not consistent enough. Also, his team stinks right now. When they were in the NBA Finals, Kidd was mentioned.

I think Kidd is a victim of his own great talent and numbers. He puts up so many trip-dubs, that everyone is used to it by now. If someone else put up his numbers, they would geta lot more press, but he does it all the time, so people take it for granted. His numbers should get even better now that his wife isn't beating him up all the time!!

Because his level of play has diminished through the years. And besides, the MVP award speaks for the season when it will be awarded, not the record of how that player has done through the years.
