I was talking to my mom tonight on the phone about what was going on with me about the nausea and stuff and about waking up the other night to almost throw up and how I been getting sick to smells and all that junk. She says to me are you pregnant? I said no I can't be because I had a period and it was kind of heavy and lasted for about 4 or 5 days. She says you need to test. I said why?! I had my period! Well she told me that she had full blown red, clotty periods for 7 days every time she was pregnant for 6 months in every full pregnancy she had, and even in the ones she miscarried later on. Thats why she had no clue in the world she was even pregnant until she started feeling kicks and then would go and in get an ultrasound and see there was a baby. I was kind of shocked. I knew she bled while pregnant but she never gave me details. I kept trying to get pursuide her that I can't be pregnant but she tells me to test, so I am going to just for her. I guess my grandma had the same thing also.

hun i have a genetic condition that sounds just like your mum's - i didn't know i was pregnant either until i blacked out in the middle of a work meeting and was rushed to a doc, only to find out i was nearly 4 months. have yourself check out - it won't cost you anything and you will have peace of mind one way or the other, instead of wondering. and while you're there, ask them to check if you and your mom have a genetic condition too?

Take your mom's advice. It doesn't hurt and because they draw blood for positive proof, your doctor can also check for other possible problems. The symptoms sounds like you are pregnant, but allergies, stress and even more serious illnesses can cause these symptoms.
Don't let any doctor tell you it is normal to bleed heavily with blood clots while menstruating. I was told that and now have an 18 year old daughter, who underwent surgery last December 2005. Appendix had been rupturing they don't know for how long, fibroid tumors, cysts, and optometrists. She has never had intercourse either.
So...Take mom's advice.

If this is normal for the woman in your family yes I would get a test done. Even if it comes up neg I would still go to your doctor and find out why all of a sudden smells are making you nausea.

I would advise you yes. The test is simple and doesn't hurt. I think your urine sample is taken. So, nothing to worry.
In any case, whether you are pregnant or not, Homeopathy has good solutions for you to overcome your nausea. If you can consult a homeopath in your area, that would be best. If not, pl. visit www.hpahty.com and post in the forum discussions for good suggestions. Or write to me separately.
Wish you a good health.

There is no harm in taking the pregancy test to be sure of your condition and to ward off any assumptions you may be having, good luck.
