my 2 friends have red hair and black hair. the friend with red hair seems to have red/orange freckles while the one with black hair seems to have dark brown freckles/ is this just an optical illusion cause of there skin tone and hair color or are there freckles the same color? they both have a lot of freckles.

This is not an optical illusion. People have different colored freckles because of the melanin that the body produces. Redheads have less melanin than a brunette, which causes lighter colored freckles.

Hi Weed, I have seem brown,and red freckles. The red freckles has always been on natural red heads.The brown freckles has always been on brunetts,and black hair.Nothing to do with skin tone.

no it seems as if your freckles match the color of your hair to some degree. dark hair, dark freckles. light hair, light freckles.

i'm a brunette - i have very very light brown freckles!
