hold your hand flat, fingers straight. now try and bend only your pinky without any other finger moving...i cant do it and its freaking me out.

I can do it with my right hand but not my left...practice maybe you'll get it. I'm not sure that it is a skill that would come in handy for anything though so if you can't...don't sweat it. I'm almost 60 years old and can't remember one time that I have been asked to do this (except right now ;)...

Yes I can do that however it is probably because I am a pianist and flute player and have to have great control over my hands and started my training early. I don't think it is a normal thing. The reason for that is because of the way your hand are made. Your fourth finger is NOT independent of your other fingers due to the fact that the muscles in your hand that control your fourth finger is connected to your pinky and third finger instead of going down to your wrist. Hope that is a help :)

Can do it, no problem with left hand
Right hand when I first try, the ring finger bends right away but I can pop it back inplace

can't do it either but my crazy trick is that i can control all of my toes...like i can cross my middle toe over my second toe...it's a crazy drunk party trick.
