no it would have absolutely no effect. it may even actually help u. it gets the cardiovascular system pumping blood through your veins and it will build up the amount of blood that gives u height. and while u are lifting, drink lots of milk or anything with a bunch of protein and vitamin d in it because vitamin d is a natural steroid ( don't worry, no penis shrinkage) besides a lot of milk during teen years could help u get that extra inch of height that u need. other than that get plenty of rest because during sleep, all the testosterone and things that build muscle also help build up height while u are sleeping.

well, they say u can start lifting weight since 12. but yes, it is a proven fact that excess physical exercises stop growing. so do not lift heavy weights. my son is 14, started lifting weight since 11, but did it under my guidance and not heavy weight. he was just toning muscles, not growing them. so now he is quite tall and very muscly. it didn't stop his growing. so i suggest lift moderate weight. moderate weight means weight which u can lift 12-14 times. any weight u can lift less than 10 times is considered heavy, u shouldn't do that untill u reached the height u want. good luck

I do not recommend you start lifting weights since your body is still growing. I would say that you should start working out when you are 18. Because lifting weight during young ages will make you shorter.
