I got my new issue of Bon Appetite magazine today and I was all excited because the front recipe looked really good. So I open it and it stinks because they had to put in a sample smell thing of some calvin Klein perfume. It was so strong that it made me gag. I could see if it were vogue or seventeen but Bon Appetite.

I do Hate it and it should not be in a cooking magazine. If you don't get this magazine already try Taste of Home it has no Advertisements. You can e-mail me for the address if you want, I have been using it for several years without a problem. Good Luck.

I'm surprised by that too. I don't like them either. I tear them all out of magazines before I can read them. But Bon Appetite! What were they thinking? I'd rather something decadent.

I love getting the added surprise of perfume. I hate all the subscription cards in the magazine though.

I hate when they do that. They put too many in the magazine and they always smell so strong. It gives me a headache just smelling it because it's so strong.

well , looking at just ur headline question, i was gonna say "no, i think it's great that they give u the opportunity to smell the perfume".....but yes, in that particular magazine... I agree...kinda odd... lol

I love them, but I agree. In a FOOD magazine? that's just ridiculous. Still, they have tons of money travelling around and I guess your magazine got sucked into it. (or it was misplaced =/

yes i really do have those things . they really are pushing parfume sales alot these days . not only does it stink but did you realize that that page is really thick it gets in the way.

I agree, ads are sometimes bogus and overriding the regular material that you buy the magazine for..
