Statistics about rape vary, but apparently it's anywhere from 1-4 women to 1-9 women will be raped in their lifetimes. So, just for that, it's not the majority, but it's a significant number.
The FBI has statistics about violent crime in America.

Yes women are .Because Men commit most of the crime according to statistics and therefore they see women as being an easy target!!!!

I'm not sure... lots of women are victims of violence, but apparently young men in their 20s are most apt to be radically hurt and murdered. Happens in all cultures and races. Unfortunately. I have decided to make 2007 my Year of Peace and really focus on what I can do to be more peaceful and to promote peace. Join me?
