my honest opinion is that money played a factor but not to the extent that Becks-as he is called- played for Real Madrid. I think that he saw that he was not doing good, barely playing, scrutinized by everyone therefore he decided that it was not all worth it. If he stayed with Real Madrid he would of had a horrible career for however long he would prelong the contract. now at least he can play for the US and since he is one of the worlds best soccer player he will do a better job in the states where expectations or the passion for the sport is so intense as in Europe and through out the world. he has a lot to prove and a lot to teach our team! cheers!

it is a disgrace for a european player to be playing us soccer. it is like nfl playing pop warner. almost a completely different game. its completely about the money. becham isnt even that good in the long run.

it wasn't with the US Soccer Team, it was with an L.A. Soccer team.. he's got enough money, believe me the man was not hurting for money..
