Why do men complain about us women who smoke cigarettes..they say kissing us is like kissing an ashtray...how?

would they know...did they ever kiss an ashtray...they obviously don't know what they are missing by refusing to date us...we are some of the best kissers around.

I think it is pretty silly to claim that smokers are better at kissing than non-smokers.

The fact is many people don't want to date smokers any more. If someone is addicted to smoking they are going to stink of smoke all the time. Their breath stinks, their teeth often go yellow. As women smokers get older their skin often gets yellow and leathery.

The woman is more likely to die young of some horrific illness caused by smoking.

In addition, many men who have given up smoking don't want to surround themselves with too many people who smoke. It may make them relapse, and quitting smoking is hard to do.

So why don't you stop smoking? Break the addiction and save yourself the $60,000 or so that you are going to waste in the next 20 years through smoking and higher medical and insurance bills.

The odor of the smoke lingers in your mouth. It is a real turn off. If you must smoke, use a mouthwash type product to get rid of the smell.
To me, there is nothing worse than seeing a pretty girl with a cigarette stuck in her mouth. It destroys her appearance. If you need the nicotine fix, use something else to get it. There are a lot of inhalers that will give the nicotine that your body craves, or the chewing gums. As for the guys, they are no better. There is very little sexy about cigarettes, or manly. If a guy wants to be manly, then he can do it by being kind to others, and a protector of those not as strong as he is.

I feel qualified to answer this question because although I use to smoke, I no longer smoke and haven't for 29 years now. Smokers stink. Period. They have no clue because they cannot smell it on themselves. Their hair stinks, their breath stinks, and if they smoke in their homes and cars, that stinks too. If a non smoking woman kisses a man that smokes, it is like kissing an ash tray and vice versa. This means you can taste the smoke in their mouths and smell it on their breath. I use to have a friend that smoked and because of the distance between us, we wrote letters (snail mail) to each other. Even though her letters traveled through the mail and took a couple days to arrive, when they came to me they always reaked of smoke. Do yourself a favor and a favor for those around you, and quit! There is absolutely nothing sexy or appealing about it. And before you get too insulted...remember I am a reformed smoker!

As a woman who has dated a smoker and been the smoker on sperate occasions, it is not pleasent (at least from my experience) to kiss someone who smokes. I assume that an ashtray tastes the way a cigrette smells only worse and I don't want that in my mouth or I would still be a smoker.

Nobody wants to be with a smoker. Have I ever smoked? No, but guess what? My parents do. I grew up with that stink. There is NOTHING I detest more than a smoker's smell. Because not only does it harm you, it harms those around you in more way than one. The tar in the smoke fuses with anything and everything it comes in contact with: hair, clothes, teeth, walls, etc. Yes, WALLS. My once-white walls are now yellow except for a narrow strip in the corner because the nicotene stained the paint. I was embarrassed to have friends over because they would comment on my "interesting choice of paint." I used to go to school and get made fun of because my hair and clothes smelled like smoke. Not only that, but I'm sure I'm majorly suffering from second-hand smoke.

Physically and emotionally harmful? What kind of guy wants to go through a relationship like that??
And even if you don't quit for that special guy, quit for the kids you might have that will go through what I went through. I promise, once you have kids, you will be too stressed to want to quit. Get it done and over with now. You will not regret it!

I love smoking. I like the break you get when you go smoke, not to mention the interesting people you meet by going out to smoke or borrowing a lite. I does not matter to me if a guy smokes. If they would not date me because I smoke then thats not the kind of guy I want to date anyway. Would a girl not date a guy because she does not like that he drinks regular cola as apposed to water? Get real! Ahh Smoking stinks! I can't breath around smokers! they stink! get real and mind your own business. There are very few places to smoke inside so smokers go outside and people still complain about it. I think they are just whiners.

When someone says that something tastes like crap, they have probably not actually ate a turd, its just a rough comparison. I had a girlfriend that smoked and it did not bug me that much at first but after a while it was pretty gross, its just like being next to a fire and getting ash in your mouth, you expect certain tastes when kissing someone and ash or tar is not one of them.

They feel disgusted if we're smokers, why can't we do the same?

I had a Girl too... She left me because I smoked! So, from that day onwards I quited smoking. I was a Chain smoker for 5 years and managed to quit.
