The Answer Guy-- So you don't believe it's ridiculous and an even bigger waste of academic funding that there are lawsuits over teachers wishing non-Christian students Merry Christmas?

Because being "PC" is sanitizing life.

It's making it sterile... making it so it doesn't suck, making it so it isn't what it is. After all, we wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings...

So instead of white... I'm Caucasian... despite the fact that my heritage is not of the Caucus region of Asia.

Instead of working in a dirt-poor city... I work in an economically challenged or fiscally strapped urban metro area.

Instead of being handicapped... someone is physically disabled, disadvantaged, the latest, differently abled, or handicapable.

Instead of being gay, someone is homosexual.

Instead of being deaf, someone is hearing-impaired or hard of hearing, but that could be offensive, so it's best to be hearing-impaired.

Instead of being a spokesman or spokeswoman, it's best to say spokesperson (which is not a word, despite being cleared through the spell check software.)

PC paints a picture that isn't there. It's like those signs for the library that don't use words (pictograms or basically illiteracy signs (signs for the reading challenged) that show a person sitting reading a book. Well, if you can't read the word Library, what difference does it make if you get to the library?

PC language may have started with liberals, but it just as easily could have started with conservatives who wanted to find a euphamistic way of offending someone in public, but nicely.

Most every PC phrase, or word, is horribly offensive to me. I'm white... not Caucasian. (not that race should matter on any form anyway.)

I am short for a guy. Not height challenged.

I was going bald, not follicly challenged.

So please... stop with the PC.

It is because these stupidities were formulated by accademics in about the middle of the twentieth century. They were formulated by people who were removed from reality by physical seperation(they worked in the cloistered world of universities) and they were seperated from the rest of society in that they didn't have to face many of the economic realities the rest of us did. Second of all, they were people who by nature were of a soft and indulgent disposition. This is why they didn't have the discipline to sucseed in normal society. They were therefore jealous.
So they merely wished things to be and then fantisied them as right. Without testing these theories. These theories are a result of fantasising thinking by a bunch of weak, nerdish, egghead, self indulgent, envious, lazy and cowardly wimps. Hence what proceeds from such must be - fairy tales.
You see, these people have never had to be accoutable for their theories, unlike the scientists, never had to hack it in the real world like the rest of us, never sucseed in the real world without the props of government and politically correct laws and never cease to bore us with their infantile and baseless pontifications.
Their natural (or I should say unnatural philosophies) stem from basicallly two causes. Their jealousy in what sucseeding natually within the natural world with natural people and the indulgent and selfish fantisising nature of their idiocies. By the jealousy they seek to create by bluff and lies a world where up is down, white is black , man is women, women is man and nobody know if they are coming or going. By the indolgence and carelessness of their theories they seek, by government legistlation and threat and persecution and downright lies , to enforce their erronious views upon humanity by any means whatsoever and with the greatest ruthless and intolerance and the punishing of any critisism, however slight, by punishments without reason or limitation. Sounds like some other idealogies we know.
So the more you go into the fallacy , the more you stray from the natural world of natural people. But human nature is far stronger than they. Men will still be men, women will still be women as long as humanity is human- for the next million or billions of years. And if and when they in evolution transend and evolve to a very great degree- it will be more so . So be not preturbed by such. For sooner or later this will happen-no one will hear their words and they will drift of into the world of dreams.

Because the more politically correct someone wants to be the less they want to be responsible for their own actions. Its so much easier to blame society for murder, rape, theft, drug abuse, etc. than the people who commit those crimes, especially if those people happen to be poor (I mean economically disadvantaged), black (I mean African-American), or mentally ill (I mean ??).

Maybe you tend to dominate and not sharing your opinion. Men of letters just understand and use what is useful to them. They are not fools not to get what they want, same as to everybody else, especially when it is free.

You have common sense. PC is a way of taking freedoms from people. Freedom of speech, freedom of choice,ETC. Your opinion is wisdom

Because your opinion is corrupted with infantile right-wing fantasies.
